KIA has pressed the download button on some sweet soul music for fans of its popular Originals line-up.
It comes in the form of the Soul Shaker model which returns to the Soul Originals range alongside its Quantum and Inferno stablemates.
Priced from £15,295, the Shaker sits in the Soul line-up above the ‘2’ specification version and shares some high-tech features with other models.
It means you get iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control on diesels, air-con, LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lamps and high mounted brake lights, while inside there are steering wheel mounted controls and leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift.
The Shaker is distinguished by its Vanilla Shake coloured bodywork or, for no extra cost, there’s Quartz Black metallic, plus multi-spoke 18-inch alloys. Interior touches include a new Houndstooth upholstery design, an electric tilt and slide sunroof and auto-dimming rear view mirror with integrated colour reversing camera.
Powered by a 1.6-litre CRDi turbodiesel engine and mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the Soul Shaker delivers 126bhp and can complete 0-60mph in 10.3 seconds with a top speed of 112mph. Fuel economy is a Combined 57.6mpg and CO2 emissions at 129g/km.
The 1.6 GDi petrol engine delivers 138bhp for a top speed of 112mph and 60mph is reached in ten seconds flat.
Electronic stability control and ABS with electronic brake force distribution, vehicle stability management and hill-start assist control are included along with twin front, side and curtain airbags.
Prices are from £15,295 for the 1.6 GDi version while the diesel costs £16,690 and is also available as an automatic for £17,795.
